(TVU) – On January 13th, 2024, Tra Vinh University attends the annual conference of the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC) in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province.
The Tra Vinh University delegation is led by Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Chairman of the University Council, Chairman of the VACC; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector; Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice-Rector; representative leaders from the University Advisory Council; and leaders of TVU departments, schools, centers, and institutes.
At the conference, delegates exchange information and share updates about projects implementing vocational quality assessment based on Scottish standards in Vietnam; specialized training programs and exams for human resources in the construction industry for Japan; propose opportunities for collaboration between institutions, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thoai, a representative from Tra Vinh University, shares ideas about “Technology transfer collaborations between Tra Vinh University and member institutions of the Association.”
On the same day, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation is signed between Southern Leyte State University, Philippines and Tra Vinh University, aiming to further enhance the cooperative relationship between the institutions.
The VACC was established in September 2006. As of February 2023, the association had 90 members, including 55 universities, colleges, and vocational schools; 4 centers and institutes; 8 enterprises; 6 foreign members; and 17 individual members from within and outside Vietnam.
On this occasion, the conference admits new members to the association, including Da Lat Community College, the Institute for Vocational Education Research, and Sai Gon Gia Dinh Community College, increasing the total membership to 93.
