Tra Vinh University awarded degrees to 479 new bachelors and engineers


(TVU) – On the morning of April 15 and 16, 2023, Tra Vinh University held a graduation ceremony for new bachelors and engineers of the course 2018, 2019, and 2020 in the form of work-study training.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Mac Khanh – Rector of Mai Linh Intermediate School; MSc. Tran Minh To – Rector of Vinh Long College; MSc. Tran Quang Tu – Director of Ba Tri Center for Vocational Training and Continuing Education; Dr. Dang Van Sang – Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic College; Mr. Lam Huynh Manh Dong – Director of the Center for Continuing Education of An Giang Province; and the teachers of the schools.

From Tra Vinh University, there was Mr. Tran Hoan Kim – Chairman of the School Advisory Council; Mr. Le Van Don, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Vice Chairmen of the Advisory Council; Dr. Vo Hoang Khai – former Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University; Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Assoc. Diep Thanh Tung and Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia – Vice-Rectors of Tra Vinh University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thai Son – Director of the Institute for Resource Development; Dr. Phung Van De – Director of the Institute of International Training; and leaders of units under the University.

Reporting on the course summary, MSc. Luong Hoang Phong, Deputy Director of the Institute for Resource Development, said that the majority of students were officials and employees working at agencies and organizations from different provinces, such as: Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Tre, An Giang, Tien Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, and Vinh Long, those who wanted to improve their professional qualifications to serve the community.

Attending the closing ceremony and receiving the degrees, there were 479 new bachelors and engineers in Law, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Public Health. According to statistics from admission applications, the percentage of students who got a job after graduating accounted for 95.7% compared to those who graduated, of which 42 graduated students were studying for a second degree to meet the job requirements.

Deliver congratulatory remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung – Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, congratulated the new bachelors and engineers who have made great efforts to overcome difficulties in their life to practice and study. He expected that new bachelors and engineers would bring their strength and intelligence to contribute to the development of the community and society.

The Vice Rector also thanked the organizations, individuals, and authorities at all levels for their interest, direction, and support, especially the synchronous and effective coordination in the past time, along with the enthusiastic teaching of the teachers for the success of the course.

On behalf of 479 new bachelors and engineers, Nguyen Hoang Vu, a student of Law in class 2022, sent his deep gratitude to the Board of Directors, affiliated training units, and the teachers who have created all conditions to impart valuable knowledge. He promised to dedicate his whole life to self-improvement, constantly striving for the cause of a strong and developed country as well as a civilized, fair and democratic society.

On this occasion, Tra Vinh University rewarded 237 students with excellent achievements throughout the course.
