
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh emphasized the special nature of this meeting, as Tra Vinh University is developing into Tra Vinh University – a multi-disciplinary, multi-field university model, aiming to become a modern, sustainable educational ecosystem serving the community. In the context of merging three provinces Tra Vinh – Ben Tre – Vinh Long into Vinh Long Province, the university faces urgent requirements for organizational restructuring, expanding training scope, and enhancing regional competitiveness and integration. The Chairman of TVU Council asked members to continue uniting and promoting their sense of responsibility and collective wisdom to build appropriate decisions that meet the trends of digital transformation and international integration in higher education.

During the meeting, Board members discussed and approved several important contents. The Board approved the 2024 Financial Report, evaluating the effectiveness of budget use and financial activities during the past academic year. Members examined the Plan for reorganizing and restructuring affiliated and subordinate units, aiming for streamlining, efficiency, adapting to digital transformation, and improving governance quality. The Board approved the establishment plan for the Upswing Children’s Development Support Center, demonstrating the university’s role in fulfilling social responsibility and supporting comprehensive development for children in the region. The Board approved the Organization and Operation Regulations of the Legal Consultation Center, connecting training – practice – community service in the legal field. Members considered the investment policy for upgrading the Data Center infrastructure, ensuring information security and enhancing the digitization capacity of the management-training system.
Board members reached high consensus on the university’s development orientation for the coming period, contributing to enhancing the university’s internal capacity and demonstrating proactiveness and adaptation to the context of regional innovation and restructuring.
