On February 4, Tra Vinh University hosts a Spring Fair themed “Connected Spring – Caring Tet” in a lively and festive atmosphere to welcome the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026. The event creates a joyful space across campus as the university community celebrates the season together.

The Spring Fair marks several milestones, including the successful 14th National Party Congress, the 96th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026, and the upcoming 20th anniversary of Tra Vinh University. The activities support the spiritual life of staff, employees, and students, while offering opportunities for interaction and experience that help preserve and promote traditional Tet cultural values.
Guests attending the program include former and current representatives of the provincial labor and education sectors, as well as strong participation from enterprises, cooperatives, and business households from Tra Vinh and neighboring provinces. Their presence highlights close ties between the university and the community.
From Tra Vinh University, leaders take part in the program, including Vice Rector Dr. Thach Thi Dan, who also serves as Head of the Organizing Committee, as well as representatives from university units. In her remarks, Dr. Thach Thi Dan emphasizes that the Spring Fair provides a meaningful and positive playground for students during Tet and strengthens connections between the university and enterprises. On behalf of the university leadership, she thanks sponsors and partners for their support and extends New Year wishes for peace, happiness, and success to all staff and students.
Within the fairground, the “zero-cost stall” for students facing difficult circumstances, including orphaned students, students with disabilities, and those far from home, draws special attention and conveys a strong humanitarian message. A series of “Party Celebration – Spring Welcome” activities also takes place across campus, featuring sports competitions, dance events, student singing and comedy contests, volunteer programs, Tet jam-making activities, folk games, safe driving guidance, and cultural exchanges, creating a vibrant and connected atmosphere.
The Organizing Committee awards prizes to outstanding Spring Fair booths based on creativity, aesthetics, and effective collaboration between lecturers and students. Units across the university receive recognition for their strong performance, reflecting broad participation and teamwork. In parallel, the “Sailing to the Open Sea” competition held at the lakeside of the College of Engineering and Technology attracts 24 teams from faculties, units, and clubs, leaving a strong impression and concluding with awards for the top teams.
On this occasion, the university leadership presents letters of appreciation and gifts to participating enterprises, offers Tet gifts to students far from home, and summarizes and awards the series of Party Celebration – Spring Welcome activities for Binh Ngo 2026. Award-winning performances from student comedy and singing contests are also showcased to close the program.
The success of the Spring Fair affirms the close guidance of the Party Committee and the Board of Rectors, the effective coordination among university units and organizations, the valuable support of enterprises and sponsors, and the enthusiastic participation of students. Through these activities, Tra Vinh University continues to spread cultural values, solidarity, and a strong sense of community responsibility among its students.
