Tra Vinh University celebrates 2024’s Chol Chnam Thmay festival

(TVU) – On April 11, Tra Vinh University held a meeting to celebrate 2024’s Chol Chnam Thmay for Khmer officials, lecturers, and international students from Laos and Cambodia.

The meeting had the attendance of leaders of the Party Committee, School Council, Advisory Council, Board of Directors, and representatives of leaders of units under the school.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Tra Vinh University, acknowledged and praised the positive contributions of Khmer officials, lecturers, and students for their contributing to the construction and development of Tra Vinh University in recent times.

The Rector said Tra Vinh University had become the Khmer language training center of the nation. Scientific research activities in language, Southern Khmer culture, and arts were considered the bright spots at Tra Vinh University. The mentioned results were thanks to the active contributions of the collective of Khmer officials, lecturers, and students.

In the joyful atmosphere welcoming the 2024 Chol Chnam Thmay Festival, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa sent his congratulations to the Khmer officials, lecturers, students, and international students from Laos and Cambodia, wishing them a peaceful, joyful, and happy festival with their family.

On this occasion, new Khmer PhDs who have just completed study programs at home and abroad, such as in Australia, Cambodia, and Vietnam, returned to work at the university and shared their experiences in studying and research. Through the meeting, they also sent their gratitude to the school leaders and units for creating conditions and having policies to support them to complete their learning tasks, improving their qualifications.
