Tra Vinh University (TVU) commemorated a moment on April 21, 2024, by awarding diplomas to 731 new graduates and engineers from 27 undergraduate programs. The ceremony, which solidified their academic journeys, was graced by distinguished guests and industry representatives.
In attendance are Mr Trinh Minh Hung, Deputy Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr Tran Hoan Kim, Chairman of the Tra Vinh University Advisory Council; Dr Thach Thi Dan, Vice President of Tra Vinh University; Dr Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice President of Tra Vinh University; representatives from provincial departments and agencies; leaders of enterprises inside and outside the province; and leaders of the university’s faculties and units.
The graduating class encompassed a wide range of disciplines, including Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Automotive, Control Systems, Construction), Physical Education Management, Sciences (Biotechnology, Food Technology), Agriculture (Agriculture, Aquaculture, Veterinary Medicine), Business (Accounting, Law, Business Administration, Public Administration), Education (Early Childhood, Languages, Hotel Management, Tourism, Vietnamese Literature, Khmer Literature, Elementary), Environmental Engineering.
An evaluation report highlighted the graduating class’s commendable commitment to academics and adherence to university regulations. Out of the initial 936 students, 731 successfully graduated: 1.4% achieved an excellent rating, 22.8% graduated with distinction, 69.9% earned a good rating, and 5.9% received an average rating.
Dr Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector, congratulates the new graduates and engineers and expresses gratitude to the training units that believed in and accompanied the university throughout its development journey. The Vice President commends the perseverance and determination of the new graduates and engineers in overcoming personal, family, and work challenges to strive for academic success.
New graduate Nguyen Hong Tham, representing all students, expresses appreciation to Tra Vinh University and the esteemed faculty for creating conditions for students to complete their studies with optimal results. Tham vows to apply the acquired knowledge effectively in future employment.

Job Fair: On April 20th, the fair brought together over 20 companies offering diverse job opportunities across various sectors. Students participated in on-site interviews and networked with potential employers.
Scholarship Awards: Truong Hai Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Thaco – Agri) and Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company award 20 scholarships worth 2 million VND to underprivileged students at Tra Vinh University.
Memorandum of Cooperation: TVU signed agreements with VKETI Company, Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., and Thanh Thanh Cong Education Joint Stock Company (IGC Group). The partnerships focus on student recruitment and training, hiring qualified graduates, scientific research and consulting, developing customized company training programs, hosting interns and trainees, and collaborative human resource development programs in Cambodia.
