TVU – On May 21, Continental Textile Co., Ltd. collaborates with Tra Vinh University to discuss internship and employment opportunities for the university’s students, paving the way for a mutually beneficial partnership.
Representing Continental Textile Co., Ltd. at the meeting are Mr. LI JIN, Assistant Manager of Human Resources, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Huynh, Deputy Head of Human Resources.
The delegation includes Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, representatives of the school units, and students from the faculty of foreign languages.
Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, emphasizes, “Building strong relationships with companies for training has been one of the school’s goals for many years. Our school desires a long-term collaborative partnership with your company encompassing training programs, internship opportunities, graduate recruitment, and collaborative research to develop training programs that meet the ever-evolving needs of businesses.”
Next, Mr. LI JIN, Assistant Human Resources Manager, introduces the company’s operations. He states that Continental Textile Co., Ltd. was established in April 2015 with a total investment of nearly USD 500 million, covering an area of up to 90 hectares and employing over 8,000 workers. In Vietnam, the company has four branches in Tay Ninh and An Giang provinces, specializing in producing high-quality dyed fabric and shirts.
Last year, the company welcomed TVU students for internship and employment opportunities. The company also expresses its strong interest in establishing a long-term partnership with TVU for training human resources in the fields of Chinese Language, English Language, and Economics. Additionally, the company annually offers paid internships to students, providing free accommodation and meals.
On this occasion, the two parties reach a consensus on key areas of collaboration, including training programs, scientific research, internship opportunities, graduate recruitment, and cultural exchange activities.
After meeting with university leaders, Continental Textile continues their visit by meeting with students studying Chinese and English. Company representatives present information on the company culture, benefits, and career paths for interns and employees. Students actively participate by asking questions and interacting with company representatives.
Nguyen Thi Ngoc Qui, a Chinese Language student (class of 2021), shares, “The direct interaction with Continental Textile was insightful. I learned a lot of useful information about the company’s working environment and career paths for students. I’m interested in pursuing an internship or employment opportunity there after graduation.”
