Tra Vinh University completes preliminary survey for educational quality accreditation

(TVU) – On October 2, Tra Vinh University collaborates with the Center for Education Quality Accreditation (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) to conduct a preliminary survey for educational quality accreditation and discuss the official survey plan.

The external assessment team from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation includes Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong, Vice Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University; M.A. Lam Tuong Thoai, former Head of the Emulation and Commendation Department at Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tien Khoa, former Rector of International University; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hao, Head of the Interdisciplinary Science Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, along with other team members.

Representing Tra Vinh University are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector; Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice Rector; Dr. Huynh Van Muoi Mot, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, former Vice Rector, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council; Dr. Dang Diep Minh Tan, Head of the Quality Assurance Department, along with representatives from various colleges, schools, and affiliated departments.

   

 

During the working program, the external assessment team conducts a preliminary survey, reviews documents, inspects facilities, and evaluates working conditions, teaching, research, and living environments of staff, lecturers, and students at Tra Vinh University. They also examine evidence files, work directly with specialized units and departments, and provide feedback on several aspects in preparation for the official survey.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong, Head of the survey team, highly appreciates Tra Vinh University’s efforts in implementing self-assessment activities and preparing for the external assessment. She points out several criteria the university needs to supplement, adjust, and improve for the official survey.

Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, acknowledges the feedback and recommendations from the external assessment team. He states, “The preliminary survey is an opportunity for Tra Vinh University to continue improving and updating appropriate content to meet objectives and enhance training quality.”

After the meeting, Tra Vinh University and the Center for Education Quality Accreditation sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the preliminary survey. The official survey of the external expert team at Tra Vinh University is scheduled from October 15 to October 19, 2024.
