Tra Vinh University completes successful exchange program with Filipino students

TVU – Tra Vinh University concludes its three-month student exchange program with Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) from the Philippines during a ceremony on May 8 at the Friendly meeting room on campus.

Ms. Leslie Elisa S. Cobilla, the internship program coordinator, and Mr. Clemente H. Cobilla, Head of the Tomas Oppus campus, represent SLSU at the event. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong, Vice Rector of the International Training Institute, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Khanh, Head of the Department of International Collaboration, attend on behalf of Tra Vinh University. Representatives from internship host organizations โ€“ Nguyen Thien Thanh High School, TVU Laboratory School, and Victory Informatics and Foreign Language Center โ€“ also participate alongside six SLSU interns.

Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong expresses satisfaction with the program’s outcomes, emphasizing the critical importance of student exchanges in today’s globalized environment. He highlights how students benefit through expanded expertise, enhanced soft skills development, and improved adaptability and cross-cultural understanding.

Dr. Leslie Elisa S. Cobillaย conveys her deep appreciation to Tra Vinh University and its partner institutions for their support throughout the program. She points out the valuable learning and work experiences the SLSU students gain during their internships and praises their dedication, proactive approach, and positive contributions while in Vietnam.

The SLSU interns share their experiences during the ceremony, describing practical lessons and fond memories from their time at Nguyen Thien Thanh High School, the Laboratory School, and Victory Informatics and Foreign Language Center. They also discuss their enjoyable cultural experiences in Tra Vinh province.

The ceremony celebrates both the program’s success and the strong partnership between Tra Vinh University and SLSU. This collaboration enhances educational quality and creates valuable international learning opportunities for students from both Vietnam and the Philippines.
