Tra Vinh University continues to be in the top 200 green universities with sustainable development

TVU – Tra Vinh University continues to be in the top 200 green universities with sustainable development.

The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings has just announced the results of ranking universities worldwide in early December 2023. Tra Vinh University ranked 139/1183 participating schools in the world. For 4 consecutive years, the school has been in the top 200 green universities with sustainable development.

This year’s ranking had 1,183 universities from 85 countries around the world. Tra Vinh University ranked 2nd out of 3 universities in Vietnam that participated in the UI GreenMetric ranking.

The UI GreenMetric organization ranks universities around the world based on 6 main areas with 45 specific criteria, including environmental friendliness of landscape and infrastructure; clean energy policy and response to climate change; the university’s waste management as well as water use and reuse policies; smart traffic system; and educational and research capacity.

This organization is the first and only one in the world that ranks universities according to eco-friendly and sustainable university construction, management, and development criteria. UI GreenMetric has initiated a ranking of universities worldwide with green educational environments and sustainable investment since 2010.

According to the representative of Tra Vinh University, the school participated in this ranking towards the values of eco-friendly and sustainable development and becoming a prestigious training and application-oriented research facility in the country and internationally, building a multicultural environment to help students integrate well into the working environment and aim to become a green and smart-university.
