(TVU) – The Board of Tra Vinh University convenes its 11th session of the 2021-2025 term this morning, addressing crucial development strategy issues. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Party Secretary and Council Board Chairman, presides over the meeting.
The session evaluates task performance since the tenth meeting and approves several important matters related to implementing the Board’s resolutions.
Attendees include Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh People’s Committee, along with Board members, the University’s Executive Board, and representatives from various departments.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh highlights Tra Vinh University’s continued rankings, now placing 42nd in the Top 100 WURI Ranking of influential universities. Notably, the university ranks first in the B5 (WURI Culture/Value) index, top 10 in A7 (Generative AI Application), and top 15 in B2 (Funding).
Specialized committees present reports on implementing the Board’s decisions during the meeting. The Executive Board submits proposals including:
(1) Approving a plan to develop Tra Vinh University into an advanced university
(2) Approving the 2023 financial report
(3) Establishing The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center
(4) Issuing regulations on recruitment, utilization, and management of staff and employees
The Executive Board also reports on the 2023-2024 academic year and outlines plans for 2024-2025.
Board members focus their discussions on the plan to develop Tra Vinh University into an advanced institution, the establishment of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, and the review of staff management regulations.
Based on the input from the Advisory Council and Board members, the Board votes to approve several proposals from the Executive Board. Specialized departments are tasked with further research and refinement of processes and documents.
