Tra Vinh University Council holds thirteenth session

(TVU) – On January 4, Tra Vinh University Council held its thirteenth session to discuss several important matters regarding the university’s development strategy for 2021-2025. Professor Pham Tiet Khanh, Party Secretary and Chairman of the University Council, presided over the meeting.

Attendees included Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh Province, University Council members, the Board of Rectors, Advisory Board leaders, and representatives from various university departments and units.

In his opening remarks, Professor Pham Tiet Khanh stated: “This session evaluates the implementation of 2024 tasks, outlines key strategies for 2025, and addresses important matters related to the implementation of University Council resolutions.”

During the session, specialized committees presented reports on the implementation of University Council decisions and monitoring results of Council resolutions and decisions following the twelfth session held on October 5, 2024.

The Board of Rectors presented several proposals, including establishing the Coconut Institute at Tra Vinh University; establishing the Artificial Intelligence Center; amending certain articles of the University’s Organization and Operation Regulations issued with Resolution No. 12/NQ-HDT dated July 5, 2024; developing the Human Resources Development Institute according to the digital university ecosystem model; and approving the 2025 revenue-expenditure budget and investment plans.

 

The Board reported the 2024 financial results and progress on implementing the advanced university project.

The University Council discussed and approved the 2024 specialized monitoring report, draft amendments to the University’s Organization and Operation Regulations, draft 2025 work program resolution, draft 2025 monitoring program resolution, and proposed the next session’s agenda and monitoring plans for 2025.

Based on feedback, Council members voted to approve the implementation of various proposals and reports from the Board of Rectors, while requesting specialized departments to continue reviewing and improving processes and documentation systems according to regulations.

Concluding the session, Professor Pham Tiet Khanh commended the meeting’s outcomes and acknowledged members’ contributions. He requested specialized committees to verify matters related to the Board of Rectors’ proposals and collaborate to improve content based on session feedback for Council approval.

On this occasion, Professor Pham Tiet Khanh extended New Year wishes to all Council members and expressed hope for continued support in successfully implementing the 2021-2025 term resolution.
