Tra Vinh University delegation honors Ho Chi Minh and recognizes 51 exemplary individuals

On the morning of May 19, 2025, at the National Historical Relic Site of President Ho Chi Minh Temple (Long Duc commune, Tra Vinh city), the Tra Vinh University delegation organized a flower and incense offering ceremony to honor President Ho Chi Minh. The ceremony coincided with the recognition of 51 outstanding individuals who exemplify Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics and style, marking the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025).

Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Standing Member of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, led the delegation along with representatives from youth organizations, associations and exemplary students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Thach Thi Dan praised the remarkable achievements of the university’s youth in recent times and congratulated the 51 exemplary individuals recognized in 2025. According to the Vice Rector, activities that promote learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics and style have spread widely throughout the university, contributing to creating an environment for character building and enhancing the ethics, lifestyle and dedication spirit of union members and young people.

Continuing the program, comrade Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Deputy Secretary of the University Youth Union and Vice President of the Student Association, represented TVU youth in reporting achievements to President Ho Chi Minh regarding the implementation of Conclusion 01-KL/TW from the Politburo on continuing to promote learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s example. The comrade emphasized that many creative and effective models and approaches have contributed to spreading Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts widely among the student community, creating a strong movement of learning, training and dedication.

Among the exemplary figures, Master Do Anh Dat, Secretary of the College of Economics and Law Youth Union, stands out as someone who received the honor of “Outstanding Young Teacher” at the central level in 2024 and was awarded the “For the Young Generation” commemorative medal for his contributions to education and youth organization development.

Representing the student generation, Nguyen Thi Truc Linh, a student from the College of Economics and Law, spoke to express gratitude and determination to strive and train following the example of great Uncle Ho. She affirmed that TVU youth will always maintain the spirit of “pure heart – bright mind – great aspirations,” unity and creativity, proving worthy of the trust and love from the Party, Uncle Ho and the university.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to Uncle Ho, reporting the achievements they have accomplished. On this occasion, the delegation visited the thematic exhibition “Uncle Ho – Uncle Ton, two people with one aspiration” and learned more about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and revolutionary career through the display house at the temple.

The activity provided an opportunity for Tra Vinh University youth to express sincere respect and deep gratitude toward the beloved leader of the nation, while serving as motivation to continue training, dedicating and contributing to building a healthy, humane and responsible educational environment.
