From Tra Vinh University, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Director and Head of the Organizing Committee, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Tai, Director of the Institute of Biotechnology and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, join leaders from affiliated colleges and departments.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Thach Thi Dan states that the Olympiad is an annual academic activity of Tra Vinh University. The event provides a platform for high school students and teachers to exchange knowledge, share experience, and strengthen connections with university experts in natural sciences. She emphasizes that Tra Vinh University promotes academic engagement, encourages logical thinking and creativity, and supports students in applying theory to practice. The competition also helps students build a solid knowledge base for the 2026 national high school graduation exam and explore future study directions in a university environment.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Olympiad focuses on four subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. This year records 1,484 contestants from 66 high schools, marking the highest participation so far and fostering interest in scientific research among students.

In Mathematics, contestants complete 50 multiple-choice questions on computers within 90 minutes, covering arithmetic and geometric sequences, trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic equations, applications of derivatives, integrals, analytic geometry, spatial geometry, vectors, coordinate methods, and statistics. In Chemistry, students take a 60-minute test with 45 questions on atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, redox reactions, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, inorganic and organic chemistry. The practical section assesses laboratory safety, basic techniques, chemical handling, and identification of substances within 60 minutes.
In Physics, contestants answer 45 multiple-choice questions based on the high school curriculum, including mechanics, motion, Newton’s laws, energy, oscillations, waves, electricity, magnetism, thermal physics, and measurement principles. In Biology, students complete a 60-minute theoretical test with 45 questions on cell biology, metabolism, genetics, microbiology, evolution, and ecology, followed by a practical section that evaluates laboratory knowledge and skills.





At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awards the overall first prize to Luu Huu Phuoc High School in Can Tho City. Phan Van Tri High School wins second prize, and Duong Quang Dong High School takes third prize, both from Vinh Long. The committee also presents 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 295 consolation prizes to outstanding contestants. Several students achieve top awards in individual subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
During the event, Tra Vinh University organizes career orientation activities, campus tours, and hands-on experiences in laboratories and learning spaces. These activities help students better understand the university environment and explore future study opportunities.





In 2026, Tra Vinh University offers 10 doctoral programs, 20 master’s programs, 9 level special I programs, 1 special level II program, and 49 undergraduate majors across fields such as agriculture and aquaculture, engineering and technology, Khmer Southern language – culture – arts and humanities through the College of Khmer Southern Language – Culture – Arts and Humanities (CLASKA), health sciences, economics and law, education, applied chemistry, foreign languages, tourism, biotechnology, and environment. TVU also introduces two new majors, Psychology and Agricultural Technology.
