(TVU) – On January 9, 2023, Tra Vinh University collaborated with Ms. Suann Adams to organize a discussion titled “Research on operating non-profit organizations in Vietnam”, creating a starting point for meaningful community projects in the province and helping students majoring in Social Work learn more practical knowledge to pursue non-profit activities to serve the community.
Lecturers and students from the Faculty of Basic Science, School of Economics and Law, as well as leaders from the Vietnam-Canada Union and the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, attended.
Ms. Suann Adams shared interesting ideas she had researched in the past about the organizational structure, operation method, and community project implementation plan of non-profit organizations operating in Vietnam on this occasion. Simultaneously, she expressed interest in Tra Vinh University’s community project ideas, which will be implemented in Tra Vinh Province in the near future.
“To make a difference in someone’s life don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful, or perfect. You just have to care” (By Mandy Hale). Because you might be someone’s last hope, Ms. Suann Adams said, “I want to spread positive energy for you. Help when you can, whoever you are, wherever you are.”
Lectures and students at Tra Vinh University gain more ideas for the practical application of upcoming community projects by learning about the organizational structure and operating procedures of non-profit organizations.
One of the activities to exchange experiences between students and lecturers at home and abroad is the theme talk “Research on non-profit organizations operating in Vietnam.” This activity helps students actively engage in the study of international integration.
