Tra Vinh University hosts Conference on enhancing critical thinking skills for university students

TVU – Tra Vinh University takes center stage in the academic community by organizing an “Enhancing Critical Thinking Skills for University Students” conference on July 31. The event draws participation from numerous education experts representing universities across Vietnam.

The conference sees attendance from various universities, including a delegation from Tan Trao University led by Dr. Nguyen Minh Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Council. Other notable attendees include Dr. Tran Van Hoan, Head of Lac Hong University’s Mathematics Department, and representatives from TVU itself, including Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice Rector, and other key faculty members.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice Rector of TVU, highlights the importance of understanding the evolving labor market and the growing demand for soft skills among employees. He emphasizes, “Critical thinking not only aids students in problem-solving but also enables them to adapt swiftly to our constantly changing society.”

Dr. Tran Van Hoan of Lac Hong University discusses cultivating critical thinking skills for economics students by teaching probability and statistics.

Dr. Le Trung Hieu’s presentation stands out by addressing the timely issue of AI’s impact on teaching and learning.
