Tra Vinh University launches 2024 TVU League football tournament

TVU – Tra Vinh University officially kicks off its annual student football competition, the 2024 TVU League, on October 5.

The opening ceremony draws attendance from key figures across Tra Vinh University, including Dr. Lieu Thanh Tam, Dean of the School of Physical Education; Mr. To Hoang Tuan, Deputy Head of the Department of Academic Affairs; Ms. Lu Thi Lan, Deputy Head of the Department of Personnel and Organization; Mr. Nguyen Phi Cong, Director of the Center of Career; Mr. Nguyen Van Long, Chief of the Party Committee Office.

The TVU League stands as a cornerstone event in the university’s sports calendar, aimed at promoting physical fitness among students and elevating the quality of sports initiatives at Tra Vinh University. Additionally, the tournament provides invaluable hands-on experience for Sports Management majors, offering them a real-world platform to hone their event organization skills.

In his opening address, Dr. Lieu Thanh Tam emphasizes the significance of the 2024 TVU League as a vibrant platform for sports enthusiasts, particularly football aficionados. He underscores the tournament’s role in enhancing the quantity and quality of sports activities at Tra Vinh University while fostering student development in health and skills.

      

The league is set to run from October 5 to December 31, 2024, featuring eight teams representing various colleges and schools within Tra Vinh University. The event has already generated substantial excitement and support from the broader university community.

This annual tournament underscores Tra Vinh University’s commitment to holistic student development, blending academic excellence with physical fitness and practical experience in sports management.
