Tra Vinh University launches its 2025 Green Summer Campaign on July 14, gathering over 3,000 enthusiastic student volunteers. The vibrant opening ceremony energizes participants and marks the beginning of a series of meaningful community service activities.
This year, fifty core volunteers work in Thanh Thoi and Tan An communes in Vinh Long province. Additionally, 135 volunteers serve as leaders of specialized teams, while thousands of others contribute on designated Volunteer Saturdays and Sundays throughout the campaign.

The launch event welcomes representatives from the Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union and sponsoring organizations, including Vietcombank, Agribank, VietinBank, MB Bank, ACB Bank, the Victory Informatics and Foreign Language Center, Bao Minh Company, Saigon Dental Clinic No. 7, and the TVU Student Cooperative.
The ceremony also features local officials from Thanh Thoi and Tan An communes, along with members of the TVU Advisory Council, led by Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, former Vice-Rector of TVU.

University leadership, including TVU Rector – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Vice-Rector Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung and Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia join the ceremony alongside faculty and the campaign’s organizing committee.
In his remarks, Rector Nguyen Minh Hoa reflects on the campaign’s impressive growth—from just 84 volunteers in 2002 to over 3,000 in 2025—highlighting its lasting impact on both students and the broader community. He expresses hope for the continued expansion of the program and thanks all sponsors for their generous support.

The campaign features a wide range of volunteer activities, including building playgrounds, providing swimming and drowning-prevention lessons, electrical repairs, technical training, healthcare support, English classes, music performances, digital literacy workshops, and assistance with online administrative services.

Vo Tan Phat, student leader of the Thanh Thoi volunteer team, reaffirms the group’s dedication to working closely with the local community and promoting positive values.

The campaign officially launches with the ceremonial drum strike, led by Vice Rector and Campaign Commander Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, marking the start of another impactful summer of service.
