TVU – On April 12th, at Tra Vinh University (TVU), the opening ceremony for the Khmer Language training course was held in accordance with Conclusion No 39-KL/TW dated July 18th, 2022, issued by the Politburo on the policy of training overseas leaders and managers using state budget. The program was organized by the Central Organization Commission’s Department of Training and Development in coordination with TVU.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Trung Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Training and Development, Central Organization Commission (COC), congratulated the 20 selected trainees for participating in the Khmer Language training course at Tra Vinh University. He noted that this is the first Khmer Language training course organized since the issuance of Conclusion 39 by the Politburo, continuing the policy of building the cadre team at all levels. The training course will be held domestically for four months before continuing for four months abroad to practice and enhance language skills in practical situations.
He highlighted that Tra Vinh University is one of the universities in Vietnam designated by the Steering Committee to carry out Conclusion 39 for training Khmer language skills for officials.
On this occasion, Mr. Tran Trung Vinh requested trainees to strictly comply with party and state regulations for officials attending training courses, follow the class management rules, and successfully complete the course as required.
On behalf of the leadership of Tra Vinh province, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Provincial Standing Committee member and Head of the Organizational Committee of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee, expressed gratitude to the Department of Training and Development, Central Organization Commission for selecting Tra Vinh province in general and Tra Vinh University in particular to conduct the Khmer Language training course. Through this training course, it contributes to the effective implementation of the party’s policy on building a cadre team at all levels, especially leaders and managers with sufficient qualities, capabilities, and credibility, at the same level as their tasks; building a professional and high-quality cadre team at all levels that meets the requirements of innovation and international integration.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University, the university is the only institution in the country that trains Language, Culture, and Arts of Khmer ethnic group in Southern Vietnam, assigned by the Prime Minister to undertake the national key task of training human resources for Language-Culture-Arts of Khmer ethnic group in Southern Vietnam. Tra Vinh University was selected by the Central Organization Commission to provide Khmer Language training courses for managers, which is both a duty in fulfilling the national key task and an honor for the university.
According to the Rector, since 2009, Tra Vinh University has been conducting capacity-building programs for Khmer language and has collaborated with numerous units inside and outside the province to organize Khmer Language training courses for officials, civil servants, and military personnel. With these advantages and combining with the cultural and language environment of the Khmer people in Tra Vinh, this Khmer Language training course will be very advantageous for improving their language skills.
The Rector congratulated and believed that trainees will overcome difficulties, focus on studying with determination, solidarity, sharing, and achieve the best results.
On behalf of all trainees in the class, Huynh Van Tai, Class President and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hong Ngu district, Dong Thap province, promised to work together with the class to promote unity, strictly comply with party and state regulations for officials attending training courses, follow the class management rules, and successfully complete the course as required. They also pledged to effectively apply the knowledge gained from the training course into their practical work at their respective agencies.
