On August 23rd and 24th, 2012, Tra Vinh University (TVU) participated National CDIO Conference year 2012 at Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Block 6, Linh Trung, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City. The participants involved Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice Rector; Ms. Tieu Thanh Thuy, Director of Teaching and Learning Center; Mr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Dean of Engineering and Technology Faculty; Ms. Nguyen Kim Trong and Ms. Ly Thanh Hue, staff of Teaching and Learning Center. Participating the conference, there were leaders of Ministry of Education and Training, Higher Education Department and almost 300 delegates who came from 30 higher education institutions nationally and other ministries and departments. Besides, there were leaders and experts from the World CDIO Association and representatives of enterprises.

At the conference, institutions applying CDIO presented about reality and experience in receiving and applying CDIO to develop curriculum to meet society needs and international quality criterion. The representatives of enterprises also discussed about human resource needs to serve developmental strategy for key economic sectors of Vietnam.
Scenery of the conference
Knowledge and experience learnt from the conference helped TVU approach new curriculum building model and advanced training technology to meet social needs as well as promote creativity in programs, new evaluation process and innovation. The results and achievements from CDIO model applied by Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and higher education institutions are a great motivation for TVU in applying this model to curriculum development in order to enhance learning and teaching quality in the coming years.
