Tra Vinh University partners with Sun Hospitality Group to expand career opportunities for students

TVU – On September 24, Tra Vinh University held a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Sun Hospitality Group Joint Stock Company. The university also organized a career guidance program and recruited third-year and fourth-year students from the Sports Management program, as well as recent graduates, for internships and employment.

Sun Hospitality Group Joint Stock Company sent Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong, Human Resources Director, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Head of Human Resources Services Department to attend the event.

Tra Vinh University representatives included Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector; Master Nguyen Phi Cong, Director of the Employment Services Center; Master Phan Huu Phuc, Deputy Director of the Employment Services Center; Dr. Nguyen Thi Hue, Vice Principal of the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA); Dr. Lieu Thanh Tam, Head of the Physical Education Department; and Master Pham Quoc Khanh, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Office.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, emphasized the importance of university-enterprise partnerships in training high-quality human resources that meet the practical needs of the labor market. The Vice Rector affirmed that cooperating with Sun Hospitality Group, one of the leading enterprises in tourism and hospitality, will create many opportunities for students to access professional working environments.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong, Human Resources Director of Sun Hospitality Group Joint Stock Company, praised the potential and dynamism of Tra Vinh University students. She expressed hope that through this program, students will gain clearer direction for their future and confidently integrate into the labor market after graduation.

The program continued with the signing ceremony of the cooperation memorandum between the two organizations, marking a new step forward in the relationship between the university and the enterprise. The cooperation includes recruiting interns, providing internship opportunities at Sun Group’s luxury hotel and resort system, organizing specialized sharing sessions, and jointly conducting training according to practical needs.

The program concluded with an exchange session where enterprise representatives shared career experiences with students. The company also awarded five scholarships totaling 10 million VND to disadvantaged students in the Sports Management program to support their studies.
