Tra Vinh University provides free eye screening for disadvantaged patients

Tra Vinh University Community Service Center partners with Tra Vinh University Hospital to conduct comprehensive eye disease screening for disadvantaged patients across the province from May 17-18, 2025. The initiative aims to prepare patients for upcoming surgeries while ensuring they receive optimal pre-operative care.

Ms. Phung Thi Phuong Khanh, Director of the Community Service Center, explains that the screening program helps people with vision loss and suspected cataracts understand their condition better. The program increases public awareness about cataracts and available treatment options while making eye care services more accessible to people facing financial difficulties.

Patients receive examinations and treatment at the Department of Ophthalmology within Tra Vinh University Hospital. Rohto-Mentholatum Vietnam Co., Ltd. sponsors this meaningful collaboration between the university’s Community Service Center and Hospital. Medical teams from Tra Vinh University conduct thorough health assessments, checking both general health conditions and specific eye problems for each patient.
