Tra Vinh University strengthens industry ties to boost student employability

Tra Vinh University (TVU) partners with leading companies, VKETI Company and IGC Group, to enhance job prospects for graduates.
 

On the afternoon of April 20th, Tra Vinh University signs a memorandum of cooperation with VKETI Company – Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. and Thanh Thanh Cong Education Joint Stock Company (IGC Group).

Attending the signing ceremony from VKETI Company – Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. are Mr. Le Phuoc Toi, Deputy Director; Mr. Dao Xuan Hoang, Head of Organization and Payroll Department. From Thanh Thanh Cong Education Joint Stock Company (IGC Group), there are Mr. Pham Dien Trung, Deputy General Director; Ms. Vu Nguyen Kim Thoa, Deputy Head of Human Resources Department; Ms. Ha Thi Nhu Ngoc, Head of Recruitment Division, along with representatives from recruitment and human resources departments of the companies.

Welcoming the delegation are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice President of Tra Vinh University, and representatives from affiliated schools, faculties, institutes, and other units.

According to the cooperation content, the parties collaborate in training, recruiting high-quality human resources, scientific research, consulting, and developing training programs suitable for the needs of enterprises.

Specifically, Tra Vinh University cooperates in training and supplying human resources in fields such as Food Technology, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, Plant Protection, Business Administration, Office Administration, Accounting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Control System Engineering and Automation, English Language, and Khmer Language to work at farms and plantations of VKETI Company – Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. in Cambodia and Vietnam.

VKETI Company accepts interns and trainees to work at its farms in Cambodia, participates in providing opinions and proposals, and conducts research to develop suitable training programs. The company also collaborates in implementing human resource training programs based on the demands or orders from local areas in Cambodia.

Tra Vinh University signs a cooperation agreement with Thanh Thanh Cong Education Joint Stock Company (IGC Group) in student recruitment, teacher recruitment, accepting interns and trainees, and jointly developing teaching programs aligned with practical situations. Notably, Thanh Thanh Cong Education Joint Stock Company – IGC Group provides scholarship policies proposed for application to students of pedagogical majors at Tra Vinh University in the upcoming period.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice President of Tra Vinh University, states: “For many years, the university has been closely cooperating with enterprises to enhance student employment opportunities. This cooperation is important in developing the relationship between Tra Vinh University and enterprises. Through this cooperation, both parties develop, establish a solid relationship, and jointly train high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the current international labor market.”

Mr Le Phuoc Toi, Deputy Director of VKETI Company – Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., shares: “The Vietnam Rubber Industry Group in general and VKETI Company – Loc Ninh Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., in particular, always create conditions for internships and employment opportunities after graduation, linking training and employment, reducing costs for learners and enterprises using labour.”

Mr. Pham Dien Trung, Deputy General Director of IGC Group, expresses: “We desire to cooperate with Tra Vinh University in education, training, and providing high-quality human resources for the group’s development. Additionally, we are ready to accept interns and trainees under the Co-op program at the university.”

The Job Fair organized by Tra Vinh University (TVU) on April 21, 2024, connects over 20 enterprises for direct recruitment, opening employment opportunities for new graduates and current students. At the fair, enterprises from inside and outside the province showcase various career fields at their booths, allowing students to explore potential jobs and establish direct connections with employers. Students can conduct on-site interviews with companies and submit applications for suitable positions.
