Tra Vinh University strengthens international publishing skills through research writing seminar

On February 5, 2026, the College of Economics and Law (CEL) under Tra Vinh University organizes a seminar titled “Experience in Writing Scientific Articles and International Publication.” The keynote speaker is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Bang, Director of the Digital Business Program at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and current editor of Promotion Management as well as editorial board member of Acta Psychologica.

Attending the program are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, Rector of the College of Economics and Law; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung and Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh, Vice Rectors of the college; along with academic leaders, experts, and all lecturers of the college. Their strong participation reflects a clear commitment to research development and international publication.

The seminar aims to enhance research capacity and academic writing skills aligned with international standards, while promoting publication in reputable journals indexed in ISI and Scopus. The program also supports timely thesis completion, improves publication performance, and strengthens the academic reputation of the College of Economics and Law and Tra Vinh University.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung highlights the importance of the seminar in supporting lecturers, doctoral researchers, and master’s students in overcoming research challenges, especially in preparing manuscripts for international journals.

During the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Bang shares key insights, including an overview of international journal systems, strategies for selecting suitable journals, structure and technical standards for scientific writing, methods to respond effectively to reviewers’ comments, and approaches to handling rejected manuscripts. He also addresses research ethics and common mistakes that may hinder international publication.

Through practical examples and editorial experience, the speaker provides participants with a clearer understanding of the research process, data collection, manuscript preparation, and publication procedures. The discussion helps lecturers and graduate students build greater confidence and initiative in conducting and publishing research.
