TVU – On August 19, an assessment team from Bureau Veritas Certification Vietnam (BVC) conducts a periodic audit of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) at Tra Vinh University.
The assessment team comprises Lead Auditor Mr. Man Thien Ninh, along with auditors Mr. Doan Mai Nghia and Mr. Vuong Quoc Thai. Representing Tra Vinh University are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, the Vice-Rector, and leaders from various departments within the university’s ISO 9001:2015 system.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Man Thien Ninh states the audit’s objectives, which are to confirm the QMS’s compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and to evaluate the system’s ability to maintain its suitability, effectiveness, and capacity for continuous improvement.
The team conducts the assessment using various methods, including reviewing documents and evidence, surveying teaching and learning conditions for faculty and students, and inspecting facilities and laboratory equipment. The audit also examines the management and training software, including interviews with university leadership and functional units. The evaluation focuses on key elements such as infrastructure, staff competency, curriculum planning, change management, training implementation, and results evaluation.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung expresses his deep gratitude to the BVC team for partnering with the university in this quality review process. The Vice-Rector emphasizes that the periodic assessment is an important opportunity for the university to review its QMS operations and incorporate feedback to constantly improve its training quality and service to the community.
At the closing session, Mr. Man Thien Ninh commended Tra Vinh University for its efforts in effectively implementing and maintaining its quality management system. He also provides several recommendations for future enhancements. As a result of the successful audit, Tra Vinh University will continue to maintain its Quality Management System certification according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
