On March 3rd, 2012, TVU was honored to welcome the delegation from Tra Vinh Department of Education & Training (DOET) led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nguyen – Vice Director of Tra Vinh DOET coming to check the conditions for the Master degree courses in Southern Khmer Culture. At TVU side were Mr. Tran Hoan Kim- president of TVU Advisory Board, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung- Vice Rector of TVU, Mr. Le Van Don- Vice Rector of TVU and related staffs.
In his speech at the meeting, Mr. Tran Hoan Kim pounted that “To achieve the strategic goal of preserving Khmer culture in Tra Vinh in particular and in the Southern in general, TVU will be dedicated to the training and development the human resource to serve this duty.”
Master Degree Courses in Southern Khmer Culture are aimed to train knowledge of social science and humanity, deep knowledge of Khmer culture, have the capability to carry out researches, teach and other activities in the fields of culture, ethnology, religion in areas of minority groups in Vietnam and especially in the areas of Khmer.
By the end of the meeting, the Delegation confirmed that TVU have enough teaching staff, facilities to train Master Degree majoring in Southern Khmer Culture. The confirmation of Tra Vinh DOET is the basis for TVU to finish all the documents to submit the MOET on inspecting the training program.
