On December 12, 2011, the training program evaluation Board led by Dr. Dang Huy Hoang- Head of Academic Office of HCM Conservatory of Music visited TVU to evaluate the training program of the major performance traditional musical instruments of Southern Khmer.
According to the evaluation Board, the collection, research, conservation and promotion the traditional cultural values of minorities in Vietna m are consistent with the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies. The preservation and developing of folk theatre forms of Khmer people in Tra Vinh and in Southwest region are in that trend.
The evaluation Board surveyed and made questions related to the new major project. Dr. Dang Huy Hoang expressed his pleasure with TVU’s training orientation about the preservation of traditional cultural values of Khmer. Concurrently, he suggested that TVU should complete the project with the ideas that the members of the evaluation Board mentioned at the working day before submission to the Ministry of Education & Training.
By the end of the working day, the attendants enjoyed some performances by using the two special musical instruments of Khmer in the Southwest.
