In the afternoon of December 1st, 2011, the delegation of WUSC (Canada) including Ms. Bachand Diane- a specialist on Gender Equality, Ms. Dier Astrid Katharine- a specialist on Society and integrated Gender and Ms. Nguyen Kim Chi an officer of WUSC paid a visit and worked with TVU. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung- Vice Rector of TVU and Heads of related Departments welcomed and worked with the delegation.
At the meeting, Ms.Thach Thi Kim Anh- an officer of the Gender & Community Department (GCD) of TVU reported some main activities of GCD. Gender and gender Equality issues are always interested in education and training programs of TVU, Ms Kim Anh said. She also affirmed that the work of GCD would be more effec tive with the support of WUSC.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice Rector of TVU also stated that the cooperation between WUSC and TVU would be much better, WUSC has become a close friend of TVU. He hoped that WUSC would maintain this cooperation and help TVU be more developing and successful.
After discussion at the meeting, WUSC would continue to send volunteers to help TVU develop capacity building programs by supporting projects.
