On June 19, 2020, Tra Vinh University welcomes the delegation of Mr. Tran Trung Vinh, Deputy Director General of Department of Personnel Training – Central Organization Commission to discuss training and fostering activities about foreign languages for officials under project 165 of the Party Central Committee.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – TVU Rector, Mrs. Thach Thi Dan – TVU Vice-Rector and leaders of the School of Southern Khmer Language – Culture, and Arts take part in the meeting. TVU briefly introduces training programs, especially about the Khmer language to the delegation.
Mr. Tran Trung Vinh introduces training and fostering activities under Project 165 in recent years: Khmer language training and fostering program usually lasts for 8 months, teaching by lecturers of the Royal University of Cambodia. All living and learning costs of the officials are fully paid by the government.
“The training project will open a course for officials in Quang Ninh soon” – Mr.Vinh hopes that Tra Vinh University will have at least 2 personnels to attend this course.
On this occation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh present a set of 84,000 words Vietnamese – Khmer, Khmer – Vietnamese bilingual dictionaries compiled by Tra Vinh University to the delegation.
