TVU – On September 10, Tra Vinh University’s College of Economics and Law hosts a welcome program for its 2024 intake at Lecture Hall D5, drawing over 1,000 students, faculty members, and guests.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, Rector of the College, leads the welcoming program, joined by Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice-Rector, department heads, lecturers, and current students. Representatives from various Tra Vinh University units are present.
Guest attendees include Mr. Nguyen Tuan An, Director of An Nguyen Law Firm; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet from Vietinbank Tra Vinh; and Mr. Ta Thanh Nam from Doha Glasses, alongside alumni and industry partners.
In his opening address, Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Van Nguyen congratulates the new students and reaffirms the college’s commitment to providing optimal study, practice, and research conditions. He encourages the freshmen to strive towards becoming valuable contributors to society. He thanks sponsors for their continued support in training, career counseling, and recruitment.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the college maintains its pioneering position in program accreditation, meeting domestic and international standards. It continues to foster partnerships with businesses for training purposes.
The college offers various quality undergraduate and postgraduate programs, all designed to international standards. It currently provides 10 undergraduate programs and various master’s and doctoral options. Five undergraduate majors (Business Administration, Economics, Banking and Finance, Accounting, and Law) and two master’s programs (Business Administration and Economic Management) have received FIBAA accreditation.
A distinctive feature of the college’s approach is its focus on practical skills through co-operative education programs. These programs combine academic study with work experience, allowing students to gain in-depth professional insights. The college collaborates with over 200 businesses to align its curriculum with labor market demands, ensuring high employability for graduates.
During the event, sponsors award scholarships to top-performing students and those facing financial hardships. The program also provides a platform for successful alumni to share their experiences and offer career advice to current students.
