On February 11, the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) under Tra Vinh University organizes the “Heartwarming Spring” program to present Tet gifts to students in difficult circumstances, especially those who work part-time throughout the holiday and cannot return home to reunite with their families. The activity reflects strong humanitarian value and the university’s care for both the material and spiritual well-being of students during the Lunar New Year.
Attending the program are Dr. Vo Phuoc Hung, Rector of the College of Engineering and Technology; Dr. Huynh Tan Thanh, Vice Rector; Mr. Cao Huu Loi, Secretary of the Youth Union; Mr. Duong Ngoc Van Khanh, member of the organizing team; along with lecturers and students of the college.

In his remarks, Dr. Vo Phuoc Hung shares heartfelt messages from the lecturers to the students. He notes that the Tet gifts offer practical support and serve as encouragement to help students stay confident in their studies and daily life. He also thanks lecturers and staff who contribute to the meaningful program.

Dr. Huynh Tan Thanh expresses empathy for students staying away from home during Tet by recalling his own experience studying in Taiwan. He emphasizes that the “Warm Spring” gifts represent solidarity and care, and remind students that they always have support from lecturers and peers.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, students share their feelings. Dinh Thi Yen Nhi, an Information Technology student from the 2022 cohort, says she feels grateful for the attention from the university leadership and lecturers. She notes that the gifts bring encouragement beyond material value and help her feel the warmth of the Spring season. Phan Thuy Duy, a first-year Information Technology student from the 2025 cohort, says the experience leaves a deep impression, as it is her first Tet gift from the university. She views the gesture as strong motivation while spending the holiday away from family.

Representing the organizing team, Mr. Duong Ngoc Van Khanh says he understands the emotions shared by the students and hopes the gathering strengthens the bond between lecturers and students throughout their academic journey at the College of Engineering and Technology and Tra Vinh University.

The college presents 18 gift packages directly to students. Each package includes a new shirt, a bag of rice, two sets of traditional Tet sweets, and a lucky money envelope worth VND 500,000, with a total value of about VND 1.3 million per package. The program concludes in a warm and caring atmosphere, reinforcing the message of sharing and solidarity. Through this activity, the College of Engineering and Technology continues to affirm its commitment to accompanying students as they overcome challenges and build their future.
