With a total score of 28 in the combination (8.75 in Literature, 9.75 in History, and 9.5 in Geography) in the 2024 National High School Graduation Exam, Duong Ngoc Bao Han graduated with impressive scores and has officially become a new valedictorian at Tra Vinh University.

Despite her high score and achievement as the top law freshman, Bao Han remains humble. When asked about her study secrets, she attributes her success to a simple strategy: identifying her strengths and weaknesses early in 11th grade and creating a tailored study plan.

“The score of 28 reflects my efforts throughout the preparation for the graduation exam, along with the encouragement and support from my teachers and friends, plus a bit of luck,” the new valedictorian shares.

Bao Han was born and raised in a family where her parents are small business owners, and her sister was also a law major at TVU. Since childhood, she has seen her parents working hard to earn a living and support their children’s education. Understanding these sacrifices, she always strove to study hard in high school and nurtured a dream to enter university and become a lawyer. With this ambition, Bao Han dedicated herself to her studies to achieve high results.

Bao Han is a high-achieving student with a strong passion for history. “I’ve loved and been passionate about history since I was little. Whenever I had free time after class to help my parents with chores, I would immerse myself in historical books, videos, and films. That helped me remember and deepen my knowledge of historical periods, events, and our nation’s glorious victories.”

In addition to her love for history, she excelled in other subjects through her scientific study methods. She regularly reviewed her lessons from the exercises her teachers gave in class and used online practice tests or sample exercises.

Explaining her choice to study at TVU, the valedictorian shares that because the Law program at TVU, which has achieved FIBAA accreditation, offers a research-oriented curriculum that equips students with a strong foundation in law, social sciences, politics, IT, and foreign languages. The program emphasizes practical legal applications and essential workplace skills, aligning with industry needs and stakeholder expectations. “Additionally, there are many talented senior students at TVU I adore; I will strive to study hard while actively participating in extracurricular activities of the Youth Union and Student Association to gain more soft skills to assist my studies,” Bao Han adds.

Bao Han further states that entering university and the title of valedictorian is just the beginning of her journey to realize her dream. “The title motivates me to strive even harder.” Moreover, she is determined to continue her academic journey by pursuing a Master’s degree at TVU.
