(TVU) – On May 28th, the School of Economics and Law, Tra Vinh University, organizes a seminar with the theme “Bachelor of Law – What do we need from you”, attracting over 200 Law students to participate.
Attending the event are Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice Rector of the School of Economics and Law; Dr. Diep Huyen Thao, Head of the Law Department and Director of the Legal Consulting Center at Tra Vinh University, along with representatives of leadership from various units and lecturers from the School of Economics and Law.
Accompanying the program are Mr. Tram Phu Loi, Director of Thanh Loi Law Company Limited; Mr. Phan Van Chien, Director of the Viettel branch in Chau Thanh district; and Mr. Ngo Phuoc Thanh, Direct Sales Supervisor for the Mekong Delta region at Mirae Asset Vietnam Financial Company Limited.
In his speech at the program, Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice Rector of the School of Economics and Law, emphasizes: “The seminar provides a forum for students to exchange ideas and listen to experiences shared by successful alumni in the field of Law regarding the requirements of the labor market and employers for employees.”
This is an activity that promotes solidarity between students and alumni of the Law Department in particular, and the School of Economics and Law in general, helping students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands of the labor market, creating a competitive advantage in the job search process after graduation.
At the discussion, the speakers share about the job opportunities for law students and the process of working towards a successful career, building relationships to complement work, managing time, balancing life, and going beyond one’s safety limits.
According to speaker Phan Van Chien, Director of the Viettel Chau Thanh District Branch, in the process of developing one’s career path in any field, one must always learn, improve professional knowledge, continuously self-develop, and participate in extracurricular activities to accumulate skills during the learning process. In particular, computer skills and foreign languages are very beneficial for work in the era of digital technology and international integration.
Regarding effective learning methods, Mr. Ngo Phuoc Thanh, Direct Sales Supervisor for the Western region of Mirae Asset Vietnam Finance Company Limited, says: “Effective learning methods bring us to success with the fastest and shortest path. Students must plan, set goals to strive for, and have a positive and serious attitude in learning.”
In his sharing at the program, Mr. Tram Phu Loi, Director of Thanh Loi Law Company Limited, emphasizes: “Seriousness and passion in the learning process are the keys to enhancing our professional competence. Good capability leads to high job opportunities, meeting the recruitment needs of enterprises.”
Many questions from students related to practical issues and work experiences in the field of law are answered by the speakers, providing valuable advice to students on their journey of exploration and choosing a suitable career path, contributing to career orientation in the future.
The Law program at Tra Vinh University is internationally accredited by FIBAA (Europe), offering specializations in Commercial, Civil, and Criminal Law. The curriculum is designed to be research-oriented, meeting the needs of employers, aiming to train students with fundamental knowledge in social sciences, politics, information technology, foreign languages in general, and law in particular for professional activities. The program focuses on applying legal knowledge in professional practice, working independently or in teams under changing work conditions, taking personal responsibility and responsibility for the team, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
