TVU launches new runner club for students

TVU – Tra Vinh University takes a stride towards promoting student health and fitness with the launch of its new Runner Club. The Tra Vinh University Student Association announces the establishment of this club on the morning of June 1st, creating a hub for running enthusiasts within the student body.

Ms. Pham Le Phuong Thao, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the TVU Student Association, highlights the club’s mission during the launch ceremony. “The TVU Runner Club aims to create a beneficial playground and foster a communal environment for students who love running,” Ms. Thao states. “We hope to actively spread awareness about health improvement and physical fitness among our student population.”

The Student Association Secretariat marks the occasion by appointing the club’s Executive Committee. The leadership structure includes:

  • Chairman: Mr. Pham Vu Bang, Deputy Head of the Project Promotion Department
  • Vice Chairman: Ms. Nguyen Thi Tra My, a 2019 Public Health undergraduate
  • Executive Board Members:
    Mr. Pham Van Quyen, 2021 Civil Law undergraduate
    Mr. Hua Khac Nhat, 2022 Sports Management undergraduate
    Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tuyen, 2023 Logistics and Supply Chain Management student

This diverse committee represents a cross-section of TVU’s academic departments, ensuring broad representation and varied perspectives in the club’s leadership.

   

Establishing the TVU Runner Club reflects the university’s commitment to holistic student development, recognizing the importance of physical health alongside academic pursuits. As the club begins its journey, it promises to be a dynamic addition to campus life, promoting fitness, community, and well-being among TVU students.
