TVU – The Department of Construction, School of Engineering and Technology at Tra Vinh University launches the 2024 Steel Bridge Competition on July 15. Over 50 students, lecturers, and leaders from the School of Engineering and Technology gather for the opening ceremony.
Fierce competition breeds innovation
In his opening address, Dr. Vo Phuoc Hung emphasised the competition’s role as a training ground where students can sharpen their knowledge, practical skills, and professional expertise. Each bridge design is a testament to their ability to apply classroom knowledge to tackle practical engineering challenges.
This yearโs competition features four teams from classes in the Department of Construction under the School of Engineering and Technology at Tra Vinh University. Their designs are highly impressive, balancing creativity with technical requirements and aesthetic appeal.
Student Tran Trieu Tan, representing one of the teams, acknowledges that the design process has hurdles, but the competition fosters meticulousness, patience, and teamwork.
