TVU students on Christmas 2019 “Baby sharks, no more bags”

(TVU)– On the evening of December 19, 2019, the Christmas Music Show – Get Together with the theme “Baby sharks, no more bags” took place at TVU main campus. This Get Together, an annual event has been undertaken by the School of Foreign Languages. 

The program had the participation of Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, TVU Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam, Dean of School of Foreign Languages, faculties and over 1,000 students.

Get Together 2019 also had the attendance and performance of students from Vu Dinh Lieu High School, Nguyen Dang High School, and the enthusiastic support of high school students and TVU students.

At the event, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa said: “The topic “Baby sharks, no more bags” can spread the spirit of environmental protection “Say no to plastic waste” among students.” 

“This show attracts me by new ideas, exciting music and beautiful clothes made of reusable materials. I will definitely take part in Get Together next year if I am still here”, said Ms. Anneke Carokina Scholte Vaughn, an American volunteer at TVU.

A TVU alumnus– Diem Huong expressed “I am very happy to attend this Get Together which has been carefully prepared. The students have beautiful voices and dance very well. This event reminds me of the happy days when I was a student here.”

The Christmas Music Show “Baby sharks, no more bags” lasted over two hours and successfully finished with special remarks. “I have taken part in Get Together for two years. It is really a great opportunity to improve English and tighten friendship by talking and singing together”, said Truong Thinh, a final year student.
