On the morning of April 13, the Aikya Cross Country Marathon 2025 officially kicked off at Pham Ngu Lao Park in Tra Vinh City, under the theme “Energy of Harmony.” More than 300 student volunteers from Tra Vinh University enthusiastically participated in supporting the eventโs activities.
Organized by the Tra Vinh Provincial Peopleโs Committee, the marathon was co-hosted by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Aikya Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, and Nexus Sport Events.
The marathon attracted nearly 3,000 runners, ranging from amateur to professional, who experienced a unique cross-country trail. The route offered a harmonious blend of serene natural landscapes and the rich cultural essence of the Khmer community. As the first professional marathon held in Tra Vinh, the event featured four race categories: 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km, all starting from Pham Ngu Lao Park.
Tra Vinh University volunteers played a vital role in logistical support, including coordinating activities, distributing materials, uniforms, and medals, arranging tables and chairs, providing water for runners, and managing the storage area. Despite being the first community sports event of its kind in the province, the marathon successfully drew a large number of participants and showcased the dedication and enthusiasm of TVU students throughout the event.
