Tra Vinh University recently held a successful branding workshop for businesses in Vinh Long province; on June 3, 2025, forty entrepreneurs, business owners, and startups participated in the training at the Vinh Long Center for Science and Technology Application.
The workshop provided practical knowledge and skills in brand building, aiming to enhance competitiveness, develop strategic thinking, and improve market adaptability. Participants also gained access to regional startup networks.

The program featured Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of Tra Vinh University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and also Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Business Incubator. He covered essential branding elements, including the role of branding in customer journeys, brand strategy, brand identity, and brand structure. He shared successful brand-building case studies, principles of brand naming, and logo design tips.
His presentation emphasized creating meaningful, balanced, harmonious, easily recognizable, and memorable logos, suggesting a maximum of three colors, limited fonts, and ensuring clarity in both color and black-and-white versions. He also detailed logo standards and effective slogan creation. Furthermore, the workshop covered the brand registration process, helping businesses save costs, reduce processing time, and avoid legal risks associated with unregistered brands.

The expert highlighted the importance of comprehensive brand identity systems, including stationery, gifts, outdoor advertising, packaging, labeling, and digital identities like websites, email marketing, and social media, and effective use of various communication tools to expand target customer reach.

Mr. Nguyen Van Gioi, Vice Director of the Vinh Long Department of Science and Technology, emphasized the crucial role of branding for small and medium-sized enterprises in the province’s economic development and its necessity for sustainable growth in today’s competitive and digitally transforming environment. He expressed hope that the training would empower participants to build and leverage their brands, enhancing their competitiveness in local and regional markets.
