TVU – On February 27, Tra Vinh University wins first prize at the Artistic Flower Arrangement Contest within the framework of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year First Writing Festival 2026. The event is organized by the Vinh Long Department of Education and Training at the memorial site of Vo Van Kiet in Trung Thanh Commune, Vinh Long Province.
The Tra Vinh University team presents a flower arrangement with strong artistic expression, conveying messages that celebrate knowledge, the long-standing tradition of learning, the cultural beauty of early spring, and the education sector’s aspiration toward sustainable development.
The entry receives high appreciation from the judging panel for its harmonious composition, careful flower-arranging techniques, creative concept, and meaningful message. With these qualities, the team stands out among many participating units and secures the overall first prize.
This achievement reflects the timely guidance from the university’s leadership and Trade Union, along with the dedication and creativity of the staff members who participate in the contest.
The Artistic Flower Arrangement Contest of Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 creates a meaningful artistic space while contributing to promoting the image of a dynamic and creative educational environment rich in cultural identity. The activity also shows the university’s active participation in provincial cultural movements.
According to the final results, first prize is awarded to Tra Vinh University. Second prize goes to Vinh Long Vocational College and Vinh Long University of Technology Education. Third prize is awarded to Ben Tre Technology Post-Secondary School, Don Bosco My Thuan School, and Nguyet Hoa Ward, while other participating units receive consolation prizes.
The Binh Ngo Lunar New Year First Writing Festival 2026 features many cultural activities that celebrate traditional values, including the Elegant Words – Graceful Script Contest, the Artistic Flower Arrangement Contest, Calligraphy Day, folk games, and self-service food stalls. The highlight of the festival is the solemn First Writing Ceremony, which includes an incense-offering ritual, cultural performances, and the ceremonial first writing conducted by leaders of Vinh Long Province.
