On November 2, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the list of projects for the Training round, Selection round, and Final round of the contest “Students and start-up ideas” in 2020 (SV.STARTUP – 2020).
Accordingly, Tra Vinh University students had 02 projects participating in this competition, including:
Project “Konjac powder for health – Klen Farm” by the group of authors named Son Thai Ngoan (student of Criminal Law 2017), Nguyen Thanh Tra (student of Pharmacy A in course of 2017), Ha Thi Diem Khuyen (student of Food Technology 2018) and Nguyen Thi Ngoc My (student of English Language C in course of 2018)
Project “Bottled Nypa palm honey” by the group of authors named Nguyen Ba Loc (student of Chemical Engineering 2017), Lam Thi Ngoc Yen (student of Business Administration 2018), Ngo Phuoc Loc (student of Chemical Engineering 2017), and Ho Thi Thien Thanh (student of English language D in course of 2017).
Both of the above startup idea projects were selected for Training, Selection, and Final rounds of the competition in the fields of Technology and Product Manufacturing.
“Konjac powder for health – Klen Farm” is a product from pure Amorphophallus konjac, cultivated by organic agriculture. In order to create a unique product, many different types of Amorphophallus products have been created such as Amorphophallus konjac powder with honey turmeric essence powder, Amorphophallus konjac powder with butterfly pea flower, Amorphophallus konjac powder with jasmine scent …
“Bottled Nypa palm honey” is a clean product, derived entirely from nature, without using chemicals or preservatives in the production process. The product is bottled with a capacity of 330ml/bottle. Integrated product is used as a sweetener for people with type 2 diabetes and helps for preventing overweight and obesity. It contains many antioxidant compounds that are beneficial for health.
The training, selection, and final rounds of the Students and Start-up Ideas Competition in 2020 (SV.STARTUP – 2020) are expected to be held at the 2020 National Start-up festival for students which is taking place on December 18 and 19, 2020 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education)
