Vancouver Island University and Tra Vinh University students build “happy schools”

From May 13, 2019, to June 2, 2019, 18 students from Vancouver Island University (VIU), Canada, and Tra Vinh University (TVU) had a cultural and educational exchange.

A creative experience program is a time working together in groups to implement a number of projects that are both technical and contribute to the community, and also bring value to “happy schools”.

A project was launched, called “PlayGround”, to design toys from recycled materials for preschool / elementary schools. The students have technical designs, safety from the stage of customer needs survey, and detailed estimation.

Designing towards high application in schools

Technical designs are based on applicability, safety, creativity, and aesthetics; implementation and installation, commissioning.

The students came to Tra Vinh Laboratory School surveyed the site and interviewed to find out the needs of the target groups from the school administrators, preschool, primary and special teachers. When the project is completed, the toys that have just been installed are excited and excited by the students. 

The broken tires become toys for children

Children receive new games and interact with abroad students. Installed products ensure safety, especially the creation of recycled items. They seem to bring a new wind to the school playground, while indirectly teaching children a sense of security and environmental protection.
