(TVU) – On the morning of October 25th, the program on Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange 2018 took place at Tra Vinh University (TVU). Mr. Dong Van Lam, Chairman of Tra Vinh provincial People’s Committee and Mr. KAWAUE Junichi, Consul General of Japan to Vietnam attended this cultural event which has attracted thousands of participants.
Addressing at the ceremony, Mr. Dong Van Lam stressed that Tra Vinh province has received great financial support from Japan-funded projects and called for Japanese investors to potential fields in economy, culture, and tourism in Tra Vinh province.
The Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange program was taking place from 8 am till 9 pm with variety of activities of Vietnamese and Japanese cultures including cultural displays, performances, cuisine, and folk games. It was also a wonderful opportunity for TVU staff, faculty members and students to join these cultural activities.
The program 2018 hosted by Tra Vinh provincial People’s Committee is to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. It is as a bridge for cultural exchange and promotion of friendship between the two countries in Tra Vinh province.
