Volunteering on the frontline against the COVID-19 in Tra Vinh

On July 30, 2021, joining hands to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, 9 lecturers and 54 students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology of Tra Vinh University have joined the frontline to fight the COVID – 19 pandemic in hospitals and the health centers of the districts in Tra Vinh province.

During the time of volunteering, the university’s lecturers directly support the Tra Vinh Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital and Chau Thanh District Medical Center, while the students support the health centers of the districts.           

The volunteers were screened for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and trained on safety skills, “5K” measures, knowledge in the prevention of Covid-19 and taking care of Covid-19 patients who are being treated in the hospitals.

From August 5 to August 7, 2021, Tra Vinh University Hospital cooperates with Tra Vinh City Medical Center to support facilities and staff in vaccinating against Covid-19 for the officials and staff working at administrative agencies and units in Tra Vinh.

In July and August 2021, TVU’s lecturers and staff have been contributing about 200 million VND to support the fight against COVID-19, supporting 01 ton of rice, 500kg of vegetables for the people of Ho Chi Minh City.

Giving rice, instant noodles, and other necessities to 150 students at the TVU dormitory.

Teachers and students of Tra Vinh University cooperate with Tra Vinh Province Cooperative Alliance to help to consume 52,445 kg of longan of the farmers in Cau Ke district, Tra Vinh city.

Since July 12, 2021, spreading love to each other in the complicated pandemic, the teachers, students, and the volunteers of the Faculty of Public Management – Office Administration of Tra Vinh University have given more than 24,000 free meals to patients, lonely elders, lottery-ticket sellers, the people who are in charge of preventing and controlling Covid-19 pandemic at the checkpoints and isolation areas due to Covid-19.

Staff, lecturers, and benefactors have donated 50,000 cartons of milk to children in the areas affected by the Covid-19 pandemic of Tra Vinh province.
