Volunteers from Students Without Borders program, WUSC works at Tra Vinh University

Tra Vinh, September 18,2015 – Rachel Joy Salamena from the Students Without Borders program, WUSC undertook her voluntary work at Tra Vinh University for over three months, from September 19to December 31, 2015.

Rachel Joy Salamena is currently an undergraduate student majoring in International Development and Globalization, University of Ottawa, Canada. Working as an analyst on cooperative education at Public Works Government Services Canada, she would love to work as a volunteer at TVU for community-based development projects focused on the importance of competence development to sustainable development.

“As a student of International Development and Globalization, I am fully aware the importance of developing skills for young people. With my experience, I believe I can be a good presenter at workshops to share TVU students about living and academic skills”, said Rachel.

 

Beyond these workshops, cultural exchange between Vietnam and Canada is also Ms. Rachel’s concern during her time at TVU.
