WUSC Volunteers contribute to the development on gender equality of Tra Vinh University

TRA VINH, 25.7.2014 – Ms. Jennifer Katherine Mowbray, WUSC volunteer came to Tra Vinh University (TVU) for her voluntarily affairs on gender equality.

Ms. Jennifer Katherine Mowbray is planning to offer her voluntary work at Gender Community Department, TVU for several months, from July 2014 to March 2015. She is going to co-operate with Faculty of Southern Khmer Language- Culture-Arts to hold seminars on gender equality and soft skills to TVU students.

Ms. Thach Thi Dan, TVU Vice Rector said: “Gender equality is special characteristics of North America and TVU is applying and developing the appropriate model effectively because there is large number of Khmer population living in Tra Vinh province.”

TVU is one of beneficiaries from Vietnam Canada Community College Project funded by Canadian government. On this occasion, the Vice Rector, on behalf of TVU Rector Board, expressed her sincere gratitude to Canadian government and WUSC for their great contribution to the university since its establishment.
