Training Objectives
The Mechatronics Engineering Technology program has an application-oriented design that meets the needs of employers and the community. The program aims to train engineers who have good political qualities and social ethics, a spirit of serving the people, and the health to meet the requirements of national construction and defense. Graduates are equipped to creatively apply their professional knowledge and skills in mechanics, electronics, control, and programming to solve problems in the mechatronics field. They can apply modern engineering technologies to design, manufacture, and develop products. The program also prepares students to work as managers or leaders of specialized and multidisciplinary teams in multicultural environments, making positive contributions to their organization’s development goals.
Program Duration
Students earn a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering Technology in 4 years. The program consists of 8 semesters and requires 156 credits.
Applicants
We welcome applicants from within Vietnam and from other countries. The admission process follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.

Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the program can apply knowledge of political education, law, physical education, and national security in their lives and in their contributions to building and protecting the nation. They can apply knowledge from the social sciences, humanities, and environmental sciences to real-life situations. They use foreign languages to update information and communicate in their professional field. Graduates also apply knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, informatics, and application software to solve problems in mechatronics engineering technology. They use their foundational knowledge of mechanical materials, thermal science, electronics, measurement, and programming to address a wide range of technical issues.
Students can design components, systems, or processes to meet specific requirements in the mechatronics field. They can manufacture, inspect, maintain, and repair components within mechatronic systems. Graduates also learn to conduct experiments on mechatronic components in automated production equipment and evaluate the results to improve system performance. The program develops their ability to work effectively as both members and leaders of technical teams. They can communicate through written, oral, and graphical means in various technical and non-technical environments. Finally, graduates demonstrate respect, professional ethics, a strong sense of responsibility, a commitment to professional development, and a professional demeanor in their work.
Scholarship Opportunities
Students can receive scholarships according to the university’s general policies, including awards for the valedictorian and salutatorian. Annual scholarships are also available for students with good academic standing or those facing difficult circumstances. Notably, for the 2025 intake, the university offers a scholarship covering 100% of the first-year tuition fee for new students.
Career Opportunities
After graduating, engineers specializing in Mechatronics Engineering Technology can work in various positions. They can work as teaching assistants, researchers, or specialists at educational institutions, research institutes, and government agencies. They can become technical staff or specialists at factories, enterprises, service centers, and representative offices. Graduates can also work as design and development (D&D) engineers, technology consultants, or become entrepreneurs by creating their jobs.
Postgraduate Opportunities
Graduates can self-direct and adapt to different work environments. They are capable of continuing their studies and accumulating knowledge and experience to advance to higher professional levels.
