
Program objectives
The State Management program follows a research-oriented design to meet the needs of employers and relevant parties. The program provides students with basic knowledge of management science, political science, law, information technology, and foreign languages. It teaches them to plan, organize, supervise, manage, and operate professional activities in the field of management and state management.
The curriculum develops students’ ability to manage professional activities, work independently or in teams, and take responsibility. They learn to think critically, evaluate work quality, and communicate solutions. The program also builds the necessary skills to solve complex problems, manage resources, and improve activities. Graduates can self-direct, form professional conclusions, defend personal views, lead, create jobs, and disseminate knowledge and skills in state management activities.
Program duration
The Bachelor of State Management is a 3.5-year program, which includes 7 semesters and 121 credits.
Target applicants
The program admits students from both within and outside the country, following the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific rules of Tra Vinh University.

Learning outcomes
Regarding knowledge, graduates can apply knowledge of IT and foreign languages to meet job requirements. They can apply principles of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology to management activities. They use knowledge from related social sciences and humanities like politics, law, and culture. Graduates can distinguish the basic concepts of state and administrative management, such as laws, objectives, methods, and structure. They can combine state management knowledge in specific sectors and analyze issues related to management effectiveness, such as institutions, communication, and policy implementation.
In terms of skills, graduates can effectively use a foreign language (level 3/6) and are proficient in basic IT. They can provide advice to leaders on administrative management processes. They learn to implement laws and policies and can select appropriate media to communicate state policies. Graduates can provide professional leadership and guidance to staff. They can also effectively manage the progress of assigned work at their agency.
Scholarship opportunities
Students can apply for scholarships under the general policies of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.
Career opportunities after graduation
Graduates can work as civil servants and public employees in State management agencies, professional bodies, and administrative and public service agencies at all levels. They can work in the political system, Party agencies, mass organizations, and armed forces. They can also work as administrative staff, secretaries, or office specialists in various organizations and businesses. Another option is working in advisory and synthesis departments or as assistants to leaders and managers.
Postgraduate opportunities
After graduating, students in State Management have the full capacity to continue their studies. They can participate in short-term training courses in state management in Vietnam and abroad. They can pursue a second bachelor’s degree in a related major. They can also enroll in postgraduate programs (Master’s, Ph.D.) in Public Management at universities in Vietnam or abroad.
