In early September, Tra Vinh University (TVU) welcomes thousands of new students from across the Mekong Delta and beyond. Their eyes sparkle with both excitement and uncertainty, carrying dreams of a new journey — a place where knowledge and aspirations take flight. The 2025–2026 academic year begins with not only the vibrant, festive atmosphere of the new student welcome day but also the heartfelt care of a university deeply connected to the community.
Warm welcome – every step supported

From the very first days of the new school year, the campus and bus stations are filled with the bright blue shirts of student volunteers. They guide newcomers through registration, help with luggage, show them around the dormitories, and even assist with finding off-campus housing.
“As soon as I step off the bus, senior students come to greet and help me. I immediately feel at ease. I didn’t expect my first day to be this warm and welcoming,” shares Nguyen Thanh Son, a first-year information technology student.
This year, TVU’s upgraded dormitories provide space for 3,500 students, fully equipped with free Wi-Fi, study areas, common rooms, and sports facilities. For those living off campus, the university collaborates with local authorities to compile a list of safe and affordable accommodations, subject to strict security checks to provide reassurance to parents.
Flexible tuition – scholarships for success
As the school year begins, financial worries weigh heavily on many families. At TVU, that burden is eased as the university offers flexible payment options — by credit, semester, or installment.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, TVU continues to uphold its strong scholarship policies, which include tuition reductions, financial aid for study materials, social allowances, and merit-based awards. A scholarship fund worth billions of VND is set aside. Outstanding applicants receive bonuses of 7–10 million VND, while many programs offer tuition reductions of 30% to 100%. Students are encouraged to pursue research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with dedicated support available. In addition, numerous scholarships from organizations, businesses, and individuals help students from disadvantaged backgrounds continue their studies with confidence.
In their very first week, new students take part in Citizen–Student Orientation Week, a program that introduces academic regulations, effective study methods, self-learning skills, and career orientation. The program also invites business leaders and successful alumni to share real-life experiences, helping students set clear academic and career goals while easing their transition into university life.
A dynamic learning environment – connecting learning with careers

As one of the leading multidisciplinary universities in the Mekong Delta, TVU provides modern facilities, including lecture halls, laboratories, a digital learning center, and a startup center. Students are encouraged to join scientific research, entrepreneurship projects, and a wide variety of clubs — ranging from academics to arts, sports, and community service. International partnerships with universities worldwide create opportunities for exchanges and internships, giving students global exposure right from their first year.
TVU’s training model is closely linked with businesses. Through job fairs and career workshops, students connect directly with employers and gain practical experience. Many secure jobs even before graduation — clear proof of the university’s commitment to aligning education with real-world needs.
A new beginning – a new trust
For the 2025–2026 academic year, Tra Vinh University reaffirms its mission of “providing quality learning opportunities for the community” and its core values of dedication, transparency, friendliness, and creativity. The university continues to strengthen its position and academic quality through prestigious international accreditations such as FIBAA, AUN-QA, and ABET.
With comprehensive support policies — ranging from housing, financial aid, and scholarships to academic guidance, community engagement, and career opportunities — TVU serves as a solid foundation for new students embarking on their educational journey. Amid the excitement of orientation day, every student feels the presence of a university rooted in humanity, responsibility, and care, carrying forward the spirit of dedication, transparency, friendliness, and creativity.

In addition, Tra Vinh University is consistently ranked among the top 200 universities worldwide for green education and sustainable development by the UI GreenMetric Ranking.
