Conference on summarizing 2024 transparency activities and deploying 2025 directions

On May 13, 2025, Tra Vinh University organizes a conference to report, discuss, and contribute to the draft summary and evaluation of annual transparency activities 2024 and develop directions and tasks for transparency activities in 2025. Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, the University’s Vice Rector, chairs the conference.

The conference transparently reports general information about the University and publicly discloses it to staff, employees, students, families, and society for participation in monitoring the University’s activities. It strengthens the University’s accountability and responsibility, facilitates exchanges and discussions in activities that help the University develop, and implements transparency in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

At the conference, Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice Rector, emphasized that transparency activities are mandatory for higher education institutions. Annually, units under the University actively contribute forms related to content such as: the number of students and lecturers; the number of training programs and accredited programs. At the same time, the University fully implements transparency of documents, circulars, and decisions by the regulations of competent agencies and organizations.

At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Minh Trung, Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Office, presents the summary report of the University’s annual transparency activities in 2024. The report includes: general information about the University, mission, vision, and development goals; a summary of the University’s formation and development process; and data and outstanding results achieved in 2024.

According to the report, in the past year, the University has invested in constructing four new infrastructure items including: the Centers building at Campus II, the Gymnasium for teaching purposes, Tennis court combined with basketball court, and the Two-wheeled vehicle parking facility at the Center of Excellence in Learning Resources and Innovation area.

Regarding training activities, the University currently has 28 programs that have been quality accredited (with four programs awaiting certification). Some outstanding indicators in the past 3 years include: Average enrollment rate: 91%, Graduation rate: 76.9%; Student satisfaction rate with lecturers: 96.6%; Overall graduate satisfaction rate above 83%; Graduate employment rate in relevant fields above 84%.

Regarding scientific research activities, in 2024, the University conducted 69 scientific research projects; published 208 articles recognized by the State Professor Council (not included in WoS, Scopus lists, or with utility solution patents), and 137 publications in WoS and Scopus databases.

The conference provides an opportunity for units to review achieved results by clearly identifying directions and tasks that need implementation in 2025. This contributes to improving transparency and effectiveness throughout the University.
