TVU – On April 14, a delegation from Chinese Culture University (CCU) visits TVU to discuss potential cooperation in implementing a 2+2 program, one-year internship programs, and summer camp exchange activities.
The CCU delegation is led by Mr. Chia-Lin Tsai, Vice President for International and Mainland China Affairs, along with other members. Representing TVU are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Thi Hoang Hoa, Head of the International Affairs Department, and representatives from the International Education Institute, College of Economics and Law (CEL), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA).
In his welcome remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung expresses his appreciation for the visit and highlights its role in opening new opportunities for academic cooperation and student exchange between the two institutions.

Mr. Chia-Lin Tsai shares his positive impression of TVU’s facilities and learning environment, noting that they effectively support students’ academic needs.

During the meeting, both sides discuss key areas of cooperation, including dual-degree programs, short-term exchanges, online Chinese language teaching, and sharing of learning materials. The two universities agree to prioritize the 2+2 model, in which students study two years at TVU and two years at CCU. Mr. Tsai notes that students need to complete at least 128 credits to meet graduation requirements, with flexible credit allocation between the two institutions. In the initial phase, TVU selects students from existing programs before expanding to high-quality tracks.
Mr. Tsai adds that Business Administration and Information Technology programs at CCU can be delivered in English, while Chinese Language and several disciplines in engineering, technology, and economics are taught in Chinese. CCU also offers free PDF learning materials to support Chinese language training at TVU.

Regarding short-term exchange, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung proposes hosting CCU lecturers for cultural exchange and joint research activities, while CCU considers participation based on specific needs from TVU faculties.
For semester exchange programs, both sides agree on a tuition waiver policy for an equal number of students. If the number of TVU students exceeds the quota, a preferential fee of about NTD 50,000 per semester applies, covering tuition, accommodation, insurance, and learning materials. Credits earned during exchanges are recognized, supporting students’ transition into the 2+2 program.
For summer camp activities, both universities agree to promote short experiential courses lasting one to three weeks for undergraduate and postgraduate students. TVU also participates as a partner in online Chinese language programs, while CCU considers preferential tuition policies to support student access and program expansion.
